Nina Dunn was a woman who had a unique insight into the history of the City of Tulsa.
She was not only the author of the book Tulsa’s Magic Roots, but also the safe keeper of the treasure trove of original documentation on the founding of the city.
Nina was meticulous in her efforts to collect preserve and compile all of the original photographs, papers, and documents.

Nina actually stored all of the founding documents from the J.M Hall family in her home in a special closet complete with alarms and locks.
This vast store of documents now resides at the Tulsa Historical Society on Peoria Avenue.
It is very likely that without her diligent efforts this history would have been lost forever.
